    Default WA3002G4 Sharing Internet Connection

Hi, I'm using the WA3002G4 wireless router provided by BSNL for a wireless connection for my laptop. I wish to share this internet connection with my pc too... how would I go about it?

see this link and select which ever guide
    you find,suitable.
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...reference.html (UTSTAR WA3002-G4 quick reference)
    use "Always On" mode ppp/PPPoE

    enable DHCP in modem.

From Modem Lan1 connect to ethernet port of desktop.
Presume your laptop is working in WIFI mode.

I've followed all those steps listed on that thread, and enabled DHCP and I'm using Always On too. The laptop does work in WiFi mode. But when I connect the cable from the ethernet port of the PC to the modem, the network connection icon just keeps on saying that its acquiring network address, but never actually gets connected. Any ideas?

Its a Realtek Ethernet card... I just put it into the slot of the PC, and the card was installed. The OS does recognize the card, but it just stays stuck at Acquiring Network Address...

Yes, the ethernet card is enabled, if it wasn't, the connection icon in the system tray would'nt show up. I've already posted the ipconfig data in the post.

I'm not sure I understand how I'd give a different IP address to the wifi port in the laptop... I did set the IP address in the lan card for the PC, and the connection icon shows as connected, but no data transfer occurs. And, BTW, the lan card for the pc is a Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC.

Well after being asked repeatedly to post the ipconfig data here, I decided to search on Google instead, and found the solution here:

vinuthomas.com >> Discussion Forum >> BSNL Dataone >> BSNL DataOne: Hardware >> Unable to connect to multiple systems using WA3002G4 modem

Managed to get it working now.

    congrats.
The link you had given does not contain any new solution.
Specify how you "managed" to get the PC connected in LAN mode.
so that it will be helpful to me
to suggest to others with similar problem.

You seem to be averse to posting ipconfig /all data !
    So I won't ask that !

Type 192.168.1.1 in your computer, ID and password admin. Browse through the pages, you will find the option to enable DHCP. On all PCs select " Obtain IP address automatically ". In the WAN page enable wifi. Thats all.

Please click the link WA3002-G4 given in my post. ( >14000 hits here, and reaching 10,000 hits in similar forum within 10 months )
    2.
You have complete details, how to set the router for WIFI and access for settings for many similar modems/routers. ( more than 20)

    3
    Follow Chennai link.
If not go to MP link and download the FLASH application and see interactive method.
    4.
Do not edit Ipconfig /all data. there is nothing to keep as secret here.
    If you are on "DIALER"
mode change over to PPP/PPPoE mode.
(and enter userId/PW in wan page of router)

    Presume you enabled DHCP earlier.

    5. Confirm the WIFI icon appears in your Taskbar, connected or with a X mark/

    6.
Check the discussion here , ( with some screenshots given by thread starter)
