Question Unable to access modem page

    Hello everybody.

I have a peculiar problem. I have been trying to access the modem page using 192.168.1.1 but was unable to do so. Today I have installed Windows 7 and was perplexed when the TCP/IP window showed IPv6 addresses required. I am clueless in these matters and request your help in asmuch detail as possible.

I have a mobile and 2 laptops with wi-fi capability but sadly I am unable to use it in my home network as the modem has been configured to work with my desktop. I need help to get wi-fi settings enabled on my modem and more importantly to access the modem settings page.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. My modem is 'UStarcom' WA3002G4 model... If that is of any help. Thank you.

Go to TCP/IP and assign the following Ip address, for sure you will be able to access the modem configuration page.

    Uncheck TCP/IPv6

    Start IP Address: 192.168.1.2
    End IP Address: 192.168.1.254

You can give any value from start to end ip address above.

    FOR TYPE 2 MODEM- WA 3002 G4

go to run>cmd>ipconfig copy the address in default gateway.
o to internet exploer and write that address hit enter..put id, password as 'admin' & 'admin' and u can configure it now...

u don't have to put 192.168.1.1 always, u have to simply put your default gateway in ur browser's address...

Disable IPV6 in network settings pages.
    both LAn and wlan.
    Enable DHCp.
In all systems TCp/IP properties select
    Obtain ip address automatically.
