I have bsnl H500 plan .. for the last two or three days the speed decreased to a significant amount and now am getting 200KB/sec .. can someone please help I am living very close to the exchange ..not more than 200 meters ..any way to rectify this?

How did you check your speed? Have you tried downloading 5-6 different files from separate servers at the same time and see how much speed you get?

I previously was getting this much amount of speed in utorrent and now the files which are being downloaded are heavily seeded .. no improvement though ..my speedtest result previously showed download speed more than 2Mbps but this is the present scenario its showing download speed as 1.78Mb/sec

    1.
Save your present modem settings to
    say C:/My Documents/ modem settings
    2
You may try Mod mode Gdmt
Uncheck adsl2 + if it is selected now.
    3.
    Code:
IF IT WORKS DO NOT REPAIR
    4.
    your setup is working fine.
mention model make in future posts

Some time to save the bandwidth the speed is cap from BSNL side. It will restore after 14 days. Some times it's need 1 month.
Change the mode to G.DMT it will change your ADSL download rate 2044 to 2048Kbps.
