Thread: regarding my wifi connection using a bsnl connection

hai
i have a problem connecting my laptop to internet thru wireless connection. i have installed the drivers required for the same.it has detected two connections a)ut starcom b) mot 18. but i am not getting connected to the net. i also called the bsnl helpline and they told me to crrect the setting in 192.168.1.1 but the page is not opening in the browser. it is taken into the search tool page. plz help me out thnk q

To gain access to router setup page 192.168.1.1

Assign IP address to your system.

thnk q for u r quick response but the problem is still not solved the page is not opening

To access 192.168.1.1 ( or modem menu pages)
RESET the modem/router to factory settings.
usually the reset access will be in rear of unit.
or at the bottom a small round hole right side.
With power on press the microswitch with
a ballpen refill for about 20 or 30 seconds.
Now create a dialer and try connecting to Internet.

Para two:
Now try 192.168.1.1 admin admin or password
Refer the link given by @ deepmohan for WIFI
settings.

Start Network/ WLAN
status/repair
What is the error message ?

To set a LAN or WLAN

Start/All programs/Accessories/communications
Wireless Network Wizard or
Lan wizard.

To find Gateway IP:
start run type cmd Ok
New window
type ipconfig /all
Post data here.
