The websites are opening now without any problem.

Faced the problem in the morning.Just reset my router.Everything is opening after that smoothly.It may be co-incidental.

Use Open DNs this solves the problem

wanted to bump this as I've been facing this problem too, lately, and i don't think it's a coincidence at all.

there were 1 or 2 days where resetting my modem did the trick, but today again i was facing this problem. like ppl mentioned above, using a proxy would do the trick of opening problematic sites. another weird problem is that if i turned on the modem past 1 am, this problem was more prevalent than if i had it on since 11-12 am.

now, i hope and pray that BSNL hasn't done something gay like installed firewall software to curb data traffic and usage.

i tried using the open DNS servers, but no luck with those. guess i'll just have to wait till tomorrow and check connectivity.

I contacted the customercare when I faced this problem (again) and they fixed it in few minutes. Haven't faced any similar problems after that.
