Thread: cannot connect to most sites in dataone,tonight!

What is the issue that I cannot connect to most sites while google,this forum etc are accessible?Just gets the message connection reset in browsers.cannot ping on such sites too!Any Idea what is the problem?My IP is 59.xx. from NIB-1 .

NO!Infact ,most of the sites cannot be pingable!I think there is some issues with bsnl ?
I searched google for some "undersea cable breakage" and no such incident had happened?.

Same prob with me. Very few sites are opening. Indian are normal but very foreign sites are opening.

i am too facing the problem now.. for me its yahoo; 4shared; mediafire as far as now

I am also facing the same problem. Yahoo, 4shared. Mediafire, Imagevenue, Speedtest, WordPress, Veoh, BTJunkie, Britannica, Mail and more. They all work when using a proxy.

same problem here, since around 11pm today ping and latency have been fluctuating / turning off for a lot of sites outside India, particularly sites in the US.

I am also facing this problem....

What could be the problem?

Is this BSNL problem? They need to find and fix the problem.

Have you guys tried changing your DNS? It is possible that Bsnl's DNS is facing problems may be congestion or something...

Tried using OpenDNS, but it won't connect using even OpenDNS servers.

Any other ideas?

i tried opendns and dnsadvantage, but no use

Did any of you call up Bsnl and ask them if they are doing something to their network which might be causing this problem?

Same here in kerala.
Not even popular sites like 4shared,bloodsheddev etc..
What these BSNL guys are doing?
No information to the customers about any fault.
And about the bill it is get in time and the line get cut accurate.

Nobody at BSNL seems to be having a clue thats something is wrong. All they say is if at all anything it will be fine from today morning. But still aint fine. More the half the sites still aint opening...

Same here. I even have problems downloading podcasts on my phone. Only thing that is working, is the torrent downloads.

Same problems at Cochin also. Most of the sites are not opening. Although downloads & torrents are fine.

Even OpendDNS is of no use !

Is there same kind of problem with other broadbands like airtel, tataindcom and sify?

the problem still exit, about 50% websites are still not opening. but they are opening via proxy!!!! am from also from kerala. is this only in kerala circle?
