Suppose you use a 2 MBps connection, if 10 customers are connected, you get 0.2 Mbps each for a single user connection. That all the customers do not get the 2 Mbps as it is divided among users. In a muti user connection, each system connected will get 2 Mbps speed.

"Single User" means only one user can login to that account at a given time. "Multi User" means more than one person can login to that account at a time.

A "SU" connection holder can use it on LAN using Router & switch combination. In that case the bandwidth will be shared among users.

In "MU" account, the users can use the account on multiple lines and there will be no sharing of bandwidth. Data transfer will be counted for every login in MU accounts. "MU" accounts are costly and meant for business purpose.

meetdilip this is not correct what you say about multiuser
if 10 customers are getting 2Mbps and if there is only one computer running and others are off then think how mutch speed this one computer will get.

Multi-user simply means that many users can connect to internet and use the same broadband connection. The internet connection will be shared across all users.

If all users are connected to the net, then speed/bandwidth will be divided across all users in such a way that the total speed will never exceed the maximum allowed.

I hope this clears the confusion.
