    1) do a speedtest on speedtest.net and post it here.

    2) try tcp optimizer.

    3) For torrents try Port Forwarding.

arpit60 go to Device Info in your router and cheak the Download Rates and the Upload Rates. It should be 2048Kbps for download rate or higher then it and Upload Rate 256Kbps or higher then it. Take a screenshot and post it here. If this Upload and Download speed shows to you low then what I mention above then not possible to get above 200Kbps like before.
There is another way to increase your port speed. But it's need cost.

Your Downstreem Rate is 1664Kbps thats why you cannot get the 240KBps. For getting 240KBps your line speed should be 2048Kbps or above.
Look you canot do anything from your side to increase this Downstreem Line Rate because this Downstreem and Upstreem Rates set from the DSLAM. First you can try to talk with SDE or DE internal. If they do nothing about it then you have to spent some money to increase this Line rate.
If in your area the IP-TV is available then ask BSNL to install the IP TV in your home. Then after One month you discontinue the IP TV. If you Install the IP TV then your port speed increase 1664Kbps to 8163Kbps or higher then it. Then you will get again the 240KBps download speed.
    or another way is
Change your current Plan BB500 to Combo 8Mbps which is Monthly RS 2799( This is the new Plan in BSNL )
After one month cheage back to your old Plan BB500
Only this will help you to increase your Download Rate IF SDE and DE Internal dont help you.

Only Select the ADSL Mode G.DMT
    Advanced Setup --- DSL
