Thread: How many disconnections do you face during night unlimited(2 AM - 8 AM) in HOME 500 ?

How many times do you face automatic disconnection during night unlimited(2 AM - 8 AM) time in your HOME 500 connection ?

Also, if possible, post your location(no details necessary) so that if somebody is nearby you, then you can help each other, in solving disconnection problems, instead of depending upon BSNL service.

Very rarely. Maybe once a week. But the connection is re-established soon.

I have never faced total loss of service. But then I am a very low user of night unlimited.

me never wake up at 2AM.
just using automated system.
but i came to know that i don't face any disconnection because of the time i see in the status.

That's good news. So many people till now are not facing any disconnection problem.

disconnection is rare in day.
but at night no disconnection.

Disconnections occur very rarely and if it occurs it gets connected automatically the moment, so not a big issue.

I started this thread just to know the percentage of people who actually face disconnection problems, because everyday I used to see a thousand times when somebody is complaining of disconnection in a number of threads.

Where are those people !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^^^^^ They are disconnected, their WAN or DSL LED continue blinking, so they cant post comment.

In day time I don't face any disconnection.. & get around 200-220 kBps speed..
But at night, I don't know what happens to internet, my internet speed wanders arond 10-15 kBps ... & dsl (adsl) link just continously blinks...( lot & lot's of disconnection) so, I have to be awake all night to just make sure it is connected... & to see my download is progressing, because at one night I left download on & when I woke up on 7.30 A.M. I saw just 116 MB downloaded...
Complained abt it many times... they told me, they will change wire & everything will be alright.. but they haven't changed my wire yet...

well rarely i do face disconnection problems, but today morning while using NU i faced, internet was not working but ADSL, ethernet all OK, but in modem status it showed disconnected, even in testing modem it showed many tests passed but the pppoe connectivity server as fail. But in morning now it is working fine, thank god it got over, but Idid not get use one day of night unlimited ;-(

I just got my connection in Dec 09, never have a disconnection problem so far during 2-8, NOTE though I rarely use that period. I use that slot for very important software d/l like mandirva 2009/spring, eclipse, few movies (for children).

I think you mean Dec,2008.

BTW many of us do the same thing.
more than 50% of my downloads are different versions of LINUX distros.

About 5 times but as I've configured my modem to reconnect i have no problems..

You all have to see my usage file... then you will get my point...

Some what same here but I download src & customise my own software so my download sometime exceed 30gb otherwise it is 10gb.

Earlier i faced a lot. But it was the problem of my line. I had connected my two phones parallel using a connector.I have changed it to a serial connection(First to the modem and to the 2nd phone) and then onwards i don't even faced a single disconnection.....

I am not a youtube fan , and neither do I use sites like orkut very frequently.

My main purposes of internet are mails, LINUX and electronics websites.

I'm not shared that file because I want to show my usage, I shared that file because in that period how many disconnection I have faced.....

See the 3 days NU sessions 0 disconnections

Though it disconnected, in seconds it connected too...
