How do you connect to internet ? By simply switching On the modem or using a dialler. If you use a dialler, delete the present one and try creating another.

For using WiFi on laptop you need to configure your modem on PPPoE Mode that is always on.

Just refer this link how to Modem Configuration PPPoE

It is for different modem make but everything is same.

ITI DNA A211 -I is buggy a software upgrade is available. Its recommended.

To connect more than one machine, you need to be in PPPoE mode. Hope this will help

SAVE present settings of router to say

    Procedure:
Start /Network / LAN or WLAN

For LAN see top of page and ensure
    ethernet card is enabled.
    2.Start RUN type cmd OK

    type ipconfig /all

    Copy/paste data here.
    3. connect in Always ON" mode.
In WAN page delesect"bridged" and select

It seems you are confused between Bridge and PPPoE mode.

If your modem is configured in PPPoE mode then you dont have to use a dialer to get connected it will automatically connect all the led's will glow.

If you have configured in Bridge mode then you will have to use a dialer to get connected in this case your INET Led will not glow in router.

If configured in PPPoE mode then you can connect your laptop through wireless and your desktop through NIC, you dont have to dial from desktop to get connected it will automatically get connected.

"nirvana119" didnt had any problem actually he got confused, he configured his router in PPPoE mode and was using a dialer to get connected from his desktop.

^yup deep is right...actually i was not knowing that while changing to pppoe

we dont have to dial from dialup to connect..as soon as dsl led becomes stable

u can directly surf the net from firefox...as username nd pass all already saved

while configuring the modem for wifi...nd on my desktop i was dialing through dialup

nd keep on getting that same message"connecting throgh wan miniport" ppoe.
