Thread: Utorrent settings

can anyone suggest me the settings to be done in Utorrent in order to get the maximum dwnld speed.

Please mention

1. Your current BSNL plan

2. Speed you are getting now. Go to speedtest.net and post the result

3. Check the Broadband How to section for guides.

my plan is home 500 combo...i get speeds upto 160kBs..
but there r so many who get speeds upto 220kBs..
plz help..

Have you done port forwarding ? Please mention your modem - model and make.

Speed varies from sector to sector, not everyone is lucky here to get a speed as high as 200 + KBps.

my connection is in bridge mode..so i guess there is no need for port forwarding..

Modem model is UT300R2U..

but i get speeds upto 230kBs during direct downloading..

but y not in utorrent,,

Torrent speed depends on a lot of factors. You should choose a torrent with enough seeds to get maximum speed.

1. Utorrent > Options > Speed guide > connection type - Set your speed.

2. utorrent > Options > Preferences > Bandwidth > Maximum Download rate = 0 (for unlimited)

3. Download a Knoppix torrent and check the speed.
