    Arrow Unlimited download in 500 plan

    Hi friends, i am currently using BSNL home 500 plan & i am able to access my friend's account(UL 750) & download from his unlimited account.

    Is this illegal?:ban::ban:

    What is the risk of doing this type of thing?

    It is illegal. If found out, you get a huge bill. The amount will be what they feel reasonable.

    How can they find out??

    I have used my friend's account two or three times in the last week. Is there any chance of being traced now?

    Even if you use your friend's ID and password, your modem's Mac ID is recorded. It can be found out easily. I do not know how often they check. Everything depends on luck.

    I have noticed that these UL plans have some kind of catch.. I hate these download limits in Indian broadband plans..

    It seems your line is not port binded. Most 117 IPs are port binded. It will be wise to give a port binding request. Otherwise anyone who use your ID and password can connect from their modem.

    Question

    So, should i wait for the next bill.

    Will they contact me for this illegal using or they will just give away a lengthy bill in my hand?

    Are you sure that they will give a huge bill or there are just chances of this type of thing to happen?

    You will be charged only if it is found out. Normally they do not check. But it is still risky to attempt.

    Nothing to worry until and unless a user id and password is registered with your telephone no right now or in future, if it is registered then you will be charged for the usage else it will be charged to whom it is issued.

    no one will be charged because your friend has a UL Plan if it was a limited one then you could have troubled your friend.

    This solves your question don't trust people saying baseless ideas. They can track you but they don't do. but they can detect simultaneous login from multiple computers using same user and pass.- To play safe you both should not be logged in at the same time.
    Ip binding will be done sooner or later. May be BSNL is free on UL accounts. check if your account can be used by your friend..

    Dont go for it, even if they didnt traced you now they will put a Ton of money in your bill for what you used for after some months. so be on safer side unless you dont care about swithcing ISP's
