Thread: Connection goes when trying to download

Im using windows xp in an acer 4720z laptop. Browsers are mozilla firefox 3.5, google chrome, opera,ie etc. Download manager is idm. I have no prob with browsing. But whenever i try to download something with idm or as a regular download the connection gets cut off.I cant browse or download.it happens within 2-3 minutes of any downloads.And happens particularly while downloading youtube videos or other streaming videos. . There is no use in turning the modem off then putting it on. I have to restart my computer each time to solve this prob. Then i wil b able to start browsing.But whenever i start to download the same thing happens. I thing it happens with my laptop only.No prob in desktop where the os,browser etc are the same.Pls help

Problem in your Laptop operating system. ReInstall the Operating system with fress copy.
Or you can set up your Router in PPPOE mode then you do not need to log in from your Laptop and also from The Desktop.

upgrade to windows 7 , its the best OS ever made. it runs on any dabbba machine and install time is only 15 min. + all softwares that run on windows xp will run on it. + all drivers will be auto install + u can also use drivers from windows vista if required.
