    Default I Can't Connect in PPPOE mode

    I want to connect both laptop and desktop through same BB.

    Now for this i should be in PPPOE mode.but when i switch to pppoe mode its not connecting on single pc also.

    I also don't know what exactly to do to switch to PPPOE mode.so plz guide me.

    1. open 192.168.1.1 in ur browser
    2. use username and password 'admin'
    3. go to advance setup than select WAN
    4. edit the first setting
    5. VPI & VCI values 0 & 35 respectively click next
    6. chose PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) click next
    7. enter ur BB username and password Service Name=dataone chose 'Bridge PPPoE Frames Between WAN and Local Ports (Default Enabled)' click next
    8. click next save and save/reboot


    if 192.168.1.1 not open than enter these values
    192.168.1.100
    255.255.255.0
    192.168.1.1 in your Local Area Network

    still the connecting through wan miniport message appears and then the error 'the phone line is busy' comes!

    i have to again switch to bridge mode and then connect.

    Once you are in PPPoE mode, there is no need to connect using dialler, simply use the browser to browse.

    Select your modem from this list. It has step by step instruction to connect in PPPoE. Please note that it is termed as multi user configuration.

    my modem is not listed!

    Its not your modem but things are same..

    Refer this

    PPPoE Configuration

    Once you are done with it then you dont have to use your dialer to connect to internet you will be automatically connected to internet.

    at least there is a sticker below your modem indicating make and model?
    you can mention what ever info is available on the modem?

    thanks deep and dilip both i am in pppoe mode enjoying net on both desktop and laptop on same time.


    but problem is that when i open webpages on both pcs at same time then the dsl disappears.Why?Is it a fault in modem?

    DSL disappears means the link is lost.

    Can you still browse after the dsl goes off...? how many times it occurred.

    i can't browase even 1 site!
    this occurs very often....


    i think this is modem fault because the 4 ethernet become on and then i can't do anything except rebooting modem.

    If your router is ITI-DNA-A211-I (inputs form other thread) then a software upgrade is available, the router has been reported buggy.

    Please update the software and try.
