Rep Power: 0 | I have configured Airtel Beetel 220BX modem for BSNL and it is working fine. I followed the steps mentioned here. I am using the splitter provided by the BSNL. But when i change the splitter to Beetel(provided by airtel), there is no signal and the LED's are also not glowing. I have only set up the PPPoE connection. Did I miss anything or I need to change the splitter. Please help. Thanks, Anand |

Check rj11 cables connected properly. "Funjin "( BSNL) splitter ports are not same. (reverse) line ====>>> adsl (left) & phone ( right port ) "beetel" Adsl splitter ( white) UP " beetel" name left to right adsl port ( left) LIne ( right )==>PHONE ( singleport) Using same splitter for the past two years, for both Airtel and Bsnl BB. You can/should use the spare for an extension phone in another room ( if Phone line is concealed wiring ) Last edited by essbebe; 01-15-09 at 06:22 PM. | |

Rep Power: 0 | Hi all, I'm trying to configure ppoe for beetel modem but unable to complete getting error in Diagnostics: Test the connection to your DSL service provider: ------------------------------------------- Test ADSL Synchorization: PASS Test ATM OAM F5 segment ping: FAIL Test ATM OAM F5 end-to-end ping: FAIL ------------------------------------------- Test the connection to your Internet service provider: ------------------------------------------- Test PPP Server connection: FAIL Test authentication with ISP: PASS Test the assigned IP Address: FAIL Ping Default gateway: PASS Ping primary DNS: PASS ------------------------------------------- AND ALSO WHEN IN CHECK THE WAN CONNECTION UNDER DEVICE INFO IT SHOWS AS : -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0/35-off -1 -UBR -BSNL -ppp_0_0_35_1 -ppoE -Enabled -Disabled -Enabled -Up -59.92.134.117(Disconnect) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i have also done the same setting as mentioned : ------------------------------------------------------- 1. First login to your Router using default username and password 2. Click on WAN on the left side menu 3. You'll have options to add or remove configurations. 4. Please select and remove the bridge config as BSNL does not support Bridge. 5. Please click edit on the existing PPPoE Airtel Configuration 6. Set the VPI=0 and VCI=35 (for Airtel it would be 1,32) and click next 7. Select PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) and encapsulation type: LLC/Snap Bridging and click next 8. Enter the following details: PPP Username: Your bsnl username (no need to add dataone.in) PPP Password: Your bsnl password PPPoE Service Name: DataOne Authentication Method: Select CHAP Click Next 9. Check the Enable IGMP Multicast Option Check Enable WAN Service Option Enter the Service Name as BSNL 10. Click Next and Save. You should also save and reboot your modem. And Lo... you can now browse through BSNL broadband!! ------------------------------------------------------- Waiting for reply...... |

Rep Power: 5 | @yogesh if you really want to know how good BSNL is .. its best to ask people around you who use it .. As in some areas they have really bad server and customer support .. whereas in other areas , its really good!! |

Rep Power: 1 | Thanks for trying to help me. It seems it has different Software and Firmware versions than yours. But still I tried as you suggested. But ADSL link is still down. There is no problem with the connection because I am used UltraStarcom Router before. Please see the version information as well as my router settings. |

Rep Power: 12 | suggestion 1. wan settings2 page. Just try authentication AUTO , instead of CHAP. Para two: If still "NoGo" type 192.168.1.1/main.html Advanced settings menu should appear. http://i23.tinypic.com/nlpdhs.jpg Click WAN proceed as usual. after finishing click LAN make entries. then Save REBOOT. wait for two minutes. Feed back. Para three: presume on top left above menu showing AUTO is for Language selection English or Chinese. . Last edited by essbebe; 05-28-09 at 05:47 PM. |

Rep Power: 12 | 1.You should answer specifically, whether you tried what is suggested . 2.Can easily suggest Firmware update, but trying to confirm, whether it is needed. 3.Also if anything goes wrong you will have a modem beyond repair. 4. what is the model /make of your Utstar modem ? |
