    Default Really Wierd Problem

    Hello Folks,

These are heights of BSNL employees.
First of all i have a BB-500 plan, which says it gives me a speed upto 2mbps. That means my download speed would be around 100kbps+.
I recently changed my plan from H-750 to BB-500 and the problem i am facing is that i am still gettin the old lame speed of 30kbps even after my BB-500 plan has been started. I cant get those GODLY speeds of 100kbps+ and am really pissed with tht thing.

I called up the BSNL agent and he made me check the bandwith speed on CMD prompt which came around 1050kbps. So he said i dont have any problems with the plan bcoz it gives the bandwith speed as mention in the BB-500 plan which is from 512kbps to 2 mbps. I tried explaining him tht wht he made me calculate is the BANDWITH speed and not the download speed, but in vain.He nvr got my point and finally told me tht he cant help me anymore.

This pissed me off the most.....is this how thy HELP!!!

I need some help guys plzz help me out whr am i facing the problem.

    My IP starts from 59.xxx.xxx.xxx.

    My modem model is UT300R2U

Am w8ing for some really gud help.

    Thanking You,
    Xenoss

Go to data.bsnl.in, under my orders, enter the phone no in the prescribed format and check your plan status. Check the effective date and whether it shows provisioned.

It is likely that your plan change is yet to take effect. Talk to the Senior Divisional Engineer (SDE) and seek his help.

Thanks dude...............i guess wht u stated abpve for checking is for users whos IP starts with 179.xxx.xxx.xxx. And one more thing is that when i checked my plan's status it showed me as started.

    1.
Upto 2 Mbps speed means max 256KB/sec (*conditions apply )
One MB file can be downloaded in approx 4 seconds ( * max possible )

    If your IP is 59.xx.xx.xx
Check your usage as usual at BSNL usage site.
    10.240.240.195
    10.240.0.195 etc.
and post as annexure a jpg picture as screen shot, with two or three entries. This will confirm the speed of your download. and your tariff plan. http://i25.tinypic.com/kd2839.jpg

    Hello xenoss!

Check it out which file you are trying to downloading..Are you trying to download as a free user? If yes then it may be the issue as some file hosting site keep restriction for free user. You can also check your download speed from Dataone WebMail

xenoss I told you to ask the BSNL Agent to solve your problem, I thought the BSNL agent will help you. But I am surprise that he cant help you. I dont know why.
Do you really Call the BSNL AGENT BSNL AGENT who has authorize to access the BRAS and do some work with the user ID if required.
Your's problem solution is reapply the BB500 plan again. This will only can do by the BSNL AGENT.
First cheak your line speed rate. Go to this web GUI
    http://192.168.1.1
See the Download rate and the Upload Rate
Should be Downlod Rate 2048Kbps and Upload Rate 256Kbps
or bouth are higher then this value
If all are OK then you have only a way to restore your Speed by changing your paln to Home 250 and after one month change again to BB500.
