To connect more than one machine, you need to be in PPPoE mode. In Bridge mode, you can connect only one machine at a time.

You will find an option to disconnect in the WAN page. You can disconnect by simply switching off the power button in your modem. I am also in PPPoE mode and switch off the connection by switching off the power button.

You can use Imran's Broadband Helper Utility to disable the NIC card if you wish.

There is no need for Imran's. That was an add on information. It is better to power off the modem. Easiest and simple.

internet_guy first tell me do you have switch
If you have switch you can connect from bridge mode with one computer and run 10 Computers at a time. Just like what you want. You dont need to reboot your computer or need to disconnect from Router's GUI web page. You can disconnect your PPPOE from your desktop just Like in bridge mode. But for this you need a 5 or 10 Port switch and remember only 10 Computer runs at a time. Not more then it.

I think you dont need a switch because you have Router with 4 Lan ports.
If you really need to set up your Desktop to share the internet with your Laptop from the Bridge mode then PM me I will tell you the process.

    to reboot modem

    1. set the below url as homepage in any of the interet explorers
    2. schedule the internet explorer at specific time

    192.168.1.1/rebootinfo.cgi
note: everytime interet explorer is run, modem will reboot.
