Thread: Please clarify my query

I would liek to know if i reinstall the operating system on my computer and i have dataone modem then where will get the drivers for the modem. Will it get installed automatically or do i need to get the drivers from somewhere?

we need to know your modem make & number
to respond to this query . If you are connecting
modem thru ethernet then no drivers required for
the modem . if connecting thru USB then the
drivers are needed .

You have got a CD with your whole packge so check CD's for deivers. If you using LAN than you have LAN card CS so you can update the drivers from there.

Well indeed im connecting it through ethernet and i am having win XP sP1 and the ether net drivers didnt load properly. I had to pick the drivers cd to install.

this is far too much for us to answer, there is something called Hardware Compatibility List that comes with every Win XP CD.. i would suggest to find your hardware there and if possible plz go for Win XP SP2, as Sp1 is not that great..full of bugs
