    Default Post your SNR values and Attenuation

    Post you values of SNR and Attenuations

    SNR is Signal to Noise Ratio - in other words a measurement in decibels of the Signal strength to the level of Noise on the line.
    The higher your SNR is, the better, as there is less background Noise.
    If your SNR Margin is too low this may lead to slower throughput or frequent disconnections.



    Line attenuation is in relation to the "loop loss" on your line. The lower this figure the better, and the better chance you have of getting the faster speeds.

    Downstream: 28~32 db / Upstream: 14~18 db

    Attenuation:
    Downstream: 24~38 db / Upstream: 10~12 db

    here's mine from Bangalore.

    SNR Margin: Downstream: 33.7 db / Upstream: 24.3 db.

    Attenuation: Downstream: 15.0 db / Upstream: 9.7 db.

    Your line conditions are bad.
    SNR D/L min 10 db ( higher the better )
    Attn D/L less than 30 db lower the better.
    Change Mod to GDMT and see any improvement.

    SNR Margin (dB): 28.8 10.7
    Attenuation (dB): 14.0 5.5

    I'm not able to change it to anything, if I change it goes to disabled mode....

    Used to be, SNR 31/25 db and Attenuation 12/14 db before I used a 30 meter extension cable.

    Just now I am getting SNR as 34/24.7 and Line Attenuation as 24/10.8.

    Here are some speed and ping test results:

    SNR Upstream - 27.8 dB
    SNR Downstream - 20.1 dB

    Attenuation upstream - 19.0 decibel
    Attenuation downstream - 7.7 decibel
