My friend going abroad and dont want Broadband for 2 months

u can put landline and BB in BSNL custody and they dont send you any telephone bill. but you will be charged the custody fees which i guess is 90 rs per month. just confirm it with local exchange.

I never heard about this.Please let me know also if you get update .

Customers, who do not intend to use their landline connection for more than three months period and want to ensure that their line is not misused in their absence, can avail the Safe Custody Plan at very nominal charges:



• The safe custody charges will be Rs. 50/- per month for urban areas and Rs. 30/- per month for Rural areas. The charges will be paid in advance.

• The phone connection will be disabled for the period of safe custody.

• Telephone number will be retained and will be restored after the period of safe custody on the request of customer.

• The minimum period of safe custody will be three months.

• The charges will be applicable w.e.f. 5-5-09

telephone for safe custody for 3 months allowed at Rs 50/= PM .
If you need to retain the Phone but suspend the BB connection for two months , it is possible.

No. better idea will be to change to a lowest Tariff plan.
Like telephone ( safe Custody )
BSNL wants to charge some amount for BB connection also.
Contact CC 1504 for details.

If you surrender the connection and reconnect later,
Installation charges Rs 250/= may be charged. New UserID PW etc.

3.Check in your self care portal option for tempy suspension of BB.
