Default petition - BSNL Users Must Read and Support

This Mail is a petition for crap plans BSNL introduced recently.

I request every member to read it and copy this content and mail it to BSNL.

Also include the TOP boss ddg_bb@bsnl.co.in
in TO or CC of mail.

Kindly post if it requires any changes.

This is a petition asking BSNL to put down all those crap plans announced recently. Kindly listen to what we -the users want-. BSNL is a government undertaking and hence we expect them to be more competitive than the private players. At least time demands this. Else we need to wave a good bye to BSNL.

Recently BSNL introduced new plans out of which few like Combo 599 is a real good for those who use Internet on an average. However some plans needs to be changed when we compare them to those form private players.

First let’s talk about the worst plans ever introduced. Combo 4999 with 16Mbps and combo 8999 with 24 Mbps. We don’t need this and still if you need to provide it then reduce the cost and remove that data cap. More than 98% of BNSL users won’t go for this plan considering the cost and data limit. Anyways, still no issues because private players too have same cost/data limit.

Now let’s take about the plans which need to be changed. The reason behind this is, the same plan when compared to private players are not at all competitive and acceptable.

    1. Combo 749 speed 256 kbps download limit 8GB limit. This plan is a perfect copy of Airtel Surf 749. But BSNL failed to copy that Airtel provides 1Mbps at Night. And second thing is, who will take this plan when we have UL 750 and UL 750+ plans? So once again its crap.

    2. Combo 1111 speed 2 Mbps free download limit 15GBAgain, a person using 2 Mbps will of course download a lot and he/she will not fall in a category of average user. They all fall in heavy usage category. So this limit of 15 GB is again a limiting factor and hence no one will go for it.
Changes required: now if we compare this plan with Airtel Turbo 1299, they have 512 Kbps at day time and 1 Mbps unlimited at night. And this Night time is very convenient. Its 10 PM to 6 AM and not like BSNL 2 AM to 8 AM.
Hence all heavy users and normal users will definitely prefer not to have any data limit. One can ignore 2 Mbps speed when it comes to data limits and when compared to Airtel Turbo 1299 plan. Even if we compare this plan with Airtel Swift 1099, where they provide 512 Kbps unlimited. it looks good.
So the best option is drop this plan and double the speed of UL 750 and UL 750+ speed. Also change the Night unlimited time of Home 500c and Home500C+ to 10 PM to 6 AM.

    3. Home Combo Unlimited 1499 with 25GB limit and beyond 25GB its 256Kbps.
Now this gives me a feeling like Private players have bribed BSNL panel.
Again if we compare this plan with Airtel Turbo 1299 which gives 512 kbps at daytime and 1 Mbps at night, we will definitely shift to Airtel.

Even the plans from Tata Indicom(more4sure) Power Flash plan is good which gives 1.5 Mbps on Sundays and from 10pm to 8 am every night. And other times it gives 384 Kbps.

So now think logically and compare what BSNL is giving to their customers and what customer can get from same price from private players.

We have been using BSNL from long time and the only thing we need is

    1. Kindly double the Speed for UL 750 and UL 750+ plan
    2. Change Night unlimited time for Home 500 plan to 10 PM to 6 AM
    3. Bring 1 mbps and 2 MBPS UL plans without FUP.

    Source used to compare rates
    Experience
::: More 4 Sure offers from Tata Indicom Broadband ::::

The plans being introduced by bsnl are temporary, its a limited period offer and all the old plans are there in their place without ant change.

I really wonder whether such petitions make any difference.

If users make a petition saying plans are too costly or slow or something like that, no one will listen. On the other hand if there is a business case which gives a full ROI, cost-benefit analysis, how lower costed plans will result into more customers/business/income, then there will be a case.

Well, I take it another way. Atleast they will know what users want. Also a slow decline is about to begin if no proper plans are rolled out.

Dood, no offense, but using this kind of language like "bribed the panel" & that too to such high class govt officials is insane. don't put ur personal impressions in a official letter like this. every one knows some one must of bribed them. this is Govt & u can only produce statements like this if only u have facts & proofs related to this. I know BSNL plans are crap. but there is no point in putting letters with such words. no one will listen to u. i myself have written 100s of times to TRAI, abt all this sh*t, guess what......no one gives a damn. this doesn't mean that ur whole post is worthless. no, u studied points well. All u need to do is put the points in official language & through proper channel.

in the end all i wanna say u is WECLOME TO GOVT of INDIA.

Yeah. I too agree. this is the draft that i prepared after i had talk with old admin. He told that he will modify this in proper words so that it looks like request and polite approach. But then after 4 days..boooooooooooom....got the news that forum has been sold and he is no longer Admin Even he told that he will send that modified mail to all 60K members asking for help and even making this topic Stikcy.

    So i posted it here.

Same thing was started when airtel introduced FUP lots off people joined it but what happened nothing now other ISP's are also following the path of airtel by introducing FUP in their plans.

If anyone really wants to make any difference then file a PIL on all ISP. TRAI is just a useless authority which has no powers in fact these companies decide what they want.
