What do you think of the new plans that BSNL has recently announced? I have opted for the 8mbps 2799 combo plan.

Too costly compared to current plans. Only benefit is that high speed plans are bit appealing even with FUP.
2799 + 10.3% tax. This arrives at 3087.30. This is way too expensive for me.
what i am going to do is currently using BB UL750+ on 1 phone , will book another phone on dad's name who is a govt employee (20% discount) and will opt for Home 500 C
so total bill = 750 + 500 = 1250
day 256 kbps UL
Night 2 mbps UL from 2 to 8
= Happy and Smart BSNL userwith No FUP

Dynamically Different
But I think they are going to do away with the old plans, but I'm not very sure about it.
Quite unlikely. If that was the case they would have already withdrawn them.
I dont get it .... why dont they just make UL750 give 2mbps at night ?.....
UL 750 badly needs night unlimited. I think they might face technical problems and that is why they are not providing the facility.
UL 750 is already unlimited. It just needs more speed at night. I would get UL 1350 if they offered 1Mbps from 8AM - 2AM (non-NU time) and 256Kbps from 2AM - 8AM (NU time). That way I get more speed for browsing and stuff.
There is a plan called Home combo 1499. You will get 1 Mbps speed through out the day. But there is FUP. Once you cross the 25 GB limit, your speed will be reduced to 256 Kbps.
hopeless plans 2mbps speed till 50gb after tat 256 kbps
idiotic
rubbish
atleast they can give 512kbps insted of 256kbps

Why is BSNL so static for past 2 years ? so less improvements on existing plans ..... wait replace "less" with "absolutely no"
What do you expect from meddling politicians...they are only looking to squeeze out as much money out of the people.
they would just have modified the old plans, instead of bringing in new.
just they would have started NU for Home250, increased the NU time of Home500.
I would not expect more than 2 - 4mbps speed from BSNL, as it requires high capital to bring those plans, which i think govt is not investing. So the newly announced plans of 24mbps speed are so costly.
One of my friend from Canada gets 4 - 6 mbps speed, unlimited form ROGERS telecommunication, at a really cheap rate.
So lets expect something from 3G.
They are not going to increase the speed. But they can give night unlimited right ? During NU the speed dips to some 15 KBps. UL users are paying much more than other users and deserve a facility like NU.
