Please make an application in duplicate and take a "received signature" on your copy.

Go to data.bsnl.in, under my orders , enter the phone no in the prescribed format. Check for Provisioned status and effective date.

Can you feel the speed difference ? Go to speedtest.net and check the speed.

I have been following that for couple of days till today after submitting the application . no records are there till today.

Do they really bother to add records there ?

Is there any other diagnostic check i can think of to get it confirmed ?

I have already read the sticky thread of Precautions during plan change in this forum.

    what do you mean ?

does UL 750 speed is less than BB 500 ?
does UL 750 speed is greater than BB 500 ?
does UL 750 speed is equal to BB 500 ?

There is no point in checking the speed now ...because I have NOT checked the speed earlier and so I can not compare with the current speed.

    Thanks for your time.

tell me one thing .....for UL 750 users do they see the USAGE details ?

or they get to see the usage record as 0 (zero) ?

may be this could be other way to verify so that whether my usages are adding up or not .

I am not sure how the data usage looks like for UL 750 users .

Can anybody tell me what they see in the portal ?

For Home 500 plan speed will be around 1 Mbps. But for UL 750 it is around 0.3 Mbps. Please check the speedtest.net results.

Have you entered your phone no in the prescribed format and hit the search button ?

Check the my services > usage details. Your plan is changed if the chargeable units is zero.

what ! so much of speed reduction ?

will check it out and will post the screenshot here soon.

    Yes ...perfectly ...No mistake .

Check the my services > usage details. Your plan is changed if the chargeable units is zero.
I have been looking in it ....last usage entry was around noon time ....BSNL guy called around after the noon time ....I am looking for the next usage entry ....it has not yet come in the portal ....if it comes and usage value is zero then its certain that the plan has changed .....right ?? I'll confirm this by seeing the next entry .

    thanks for the time

Here is the speed test results

    Download speed : 1.75 Mb/s

    Upload speed: 0.71 Mb/s

    ping : 68 ms

    N.B : I can't post screen shot urls as my number of posts < 15 .

what you see from this ?

Welcome. Your download speed is 1.75 Mb/s. Your plan is still Home 500. It was wise of you to check before you believed them. Wait till your speed drop or check whether chargeable units is zero.

I have been looking in it ....last usage entry was around noon time ....BSNL guy called around after the noon time ....I am looking for the next usage entry ....it has not yet come in the portal ....if it comes and usage value is zero then its certain that the plan has changed .....right ??

I am sorry . You were write ...I mistyped the prescribed format and hence there was no record found.

you need to write the STD code as 33 instead of 033 !!!! :001_huh:

    This is funny .

    Now , I can see

    plan name: Combo 500
    Order status : Provisioned

Does that mean my plan has not yet been changed to UL 750 then ?

    please comment .

But they called me and informed that it has been changed !!!

when I can expect this to be changed then ?

Your plan is still 500 C. I am not sure why they called you and gave a wrong information. Talk to the Senior Divisional Engineer (SDE) and seek explanation.

Mostly plan changes occur on the first week of every month.

BUT surprising thing ...since yesterday after the the BSNL guy called by noon , there is no usage records logged in the portal !!!

So, how do you explain this ?

Is it that they really have upgraded the plan but the provisioning record is not updated yet .

    could that be possible ?

BSNL updates the portal late, may be because of that. It is wise to wait till you see provisioned. BSNL guys are not reliable.

    Currently ,

    Order Status

    Home UL 750 Open

    Combo 500 Close

Did you mean Open will be again modified to provisioned .....garrrrrr .....How long to wait for this again typically

what does that means actually ?

Your plan change is active only when it shows provisioned not open. Please confirm when you see provisioned.

It will automatically change to provisioned.

    @whoever moving to UL 750,

I was also earlier using Combo 500 (upto 2Mbps speed) and then moved to UL 750 for a month. I could see the drastic drop in the speed, as it is just 256kbps. So this is good only to browse/chat 24*7*365. But if you are streaming/dl a lot, then the slow speed will trouble you, it takes a lot of time.

Yes ...finally my plan changed ,....its showing Status as Provisioned now .

speed is pathetic ..torrent download speed 25-27 kBps

    http download speed 14-15 kbps

    speedtest.net result :
    download .27 Mb/s
    upload .25 Mb/s

ok ,...so I think now I am in the UL 750 now.

This download speed really sucks now

I download movies , songs etc from torrents and https .

So, Can you guys tell me how shall I manage the things in a better now ? guys having UL 750 plan please share your funda to how you are fighting with this speed but still managing to get the best output out of this ?

UL 750 is good for torrents. If you are on private tracker you will get the whole day to seed. In 500 C you may not get enough time to seed. Schedule the download in the morning, leave the system, check back in the evening your download will be completed.
