There are many threads in this forum saying that you have to reconnect/restart your connection / modem at 2:05AM and again at 7:55AM. But here is is cleared that you have started your download at 1:50 AM and continued upto 8:09 AM. Both the case are not within the range of NU i.e 2AM to 8AM. SO you are charged. Still you may proceed to your local BSNL authority for the clarification
So, will the usage be free or charged? Should I go to exchange and complain?
According to your portal display it is charged unit and it will be reflected to your bill. To make a complain, you have to wait for the bill.
Takea print out.
Since the usage is almost between 0200AM and 0800AM ,
this usage will be treated as Free download. and will not be charged.
Be careful not to repeat the same mistake again.
You will be charged unless you can convince your accounts officer. To avoid such incidents, reboot your modem a little after 2.00 am and a little before 8.00 am. You can automate the whole process using Imran's Broadband Helper Utility.
But what do I do now? Will they agree if I go to the exchange and say it is almost between 2-8?
