Thread: Automatic Discoonection @ night :(

am using home 500 plan....i set the download in the night and sleep but for the past couple of days when i wake up in the morning i find my internet disconnected. normally i que my files wit idm and schedule it and go 2 sleep.wat could be the problem?

Please mention your modem model and make.
Open modem settings and post as Txt annexure
moderm error log for the period 0200AM- 0800 AM.

Check Usage data to see any pattern for disconnection
during Nu time.
Could be a short power failure.
Are you using UPS ?

Use Imran's Broadband Utility. It can reconnect if there is a disconnection.

This is not fault from your side, this BSNL shitting around from last couple of weeks, during night time i have noticed that after every 30 seconds the DSL link drops and the speed also does'nt go above 50 KB/sec.

I struggled with this problem thinking that i am scheduling the night downloads wrongly. i was shocked when i personally saw this BSNL cheap service during night time, waking up till 2 am to see this BSNL crap, and getting these things corrected from BSNL is the toughest task, you will have devote your whole day to BSNL to get your problem solved. These days BSNL is at its worst service ever. Its really getting too frustrating now.

but dude my thing is different..i put it for download..i get sexy download speed..and in the mornin i wake up 2 find my idm runnin wit the net disconnected.

I think Bridge mode will be better for you as the connection reconnects automatically if the link fails.

even i get a similar problem...internet doesn't connect or gets disconnected and doesn't reconnect during 2 am to 8 am(error 676 - phone line busy).....this problem happens only in wired connection....i mean if i use wireless, i dont face this problem.....

Disconnection problems may occur due to various reasons. Check SNR values & Check if splitter is connected properly. And post the details that essbebe asked for .......
