Nothing big diffrence, Only you dont need to port forward the torrent client or any application which is need to connect from the other client from the Internet. All ports are open to your computer because you are not in behind the NAT in bridge mode.
And your computer is detactable from the Internet if you not using the Firewall.

If you need to connect more than one system, you need to be in PPPoE. If you have only one system, both will be the same. In Bridge mode there is no need for port forwarding.

So if I use Bridge mode, I won't have to enter the usename and password every time? And can I use the rasdial command to reboot modem at 2:30AM?

Rasdial command works only in Bridge mode. In Bridge mode, you need to use a dialler in which ID and password is already entered. If using PPPoE mode, there is no need to enter ID and password.

Is it safe to connect to the internet without a firewall in PPPoE mode ? as the router has a firewall inbuilt.

It is always wise to use a 3 rd party firewall.
