Default Increase Your Internet Bandwidth

I just found this good tips from my ISP. I am sure it works for you.

Here's a simple little thing you can do to increase your bandwidth by at least 20%.

Ok here we go...

1.) log on as Administrator.

2.) start - run - type gpedit.msc

3.) expand "local computer policy"

4.) then expand "administrative templates"

5.) then expand "network branch"

6.) Highlight the "QoS Packet Scheduler"

7.) on right window double click "limit reservable bandwidth"

8.) on setting tab check the "enabled"

9.) change "Bandwidth limit %" to 0

You're done.It would be a good idea to reboot after this.

I have tried it didn't boost my signal speed at all. I think there are a lot of other factors also judging out internet connection speed.

It's not a wise idea to disable or decrease the bandwidth for QoS (Quality of Service) where actually its responsible for if you're getting an overflow of packets, it will drop some or will queue them, what you're doing right now is that you're making overflow packets not dropped and though if you're downloading a file for example, the file may be corrupted.

There is no use disabling the Qos.... It is way of windows occupying a part of your available bandwidth(20%) for transfer of important packets... Like for eg, downloading of updates... This 20% BW is used up only during updates or such stuff... Disabling Qos is not good at all in any case....
