Default Router or Modem Router?

Hi,

I currently have a UT300R2U modem which I've been using for 2 years,
and it is working perfectly.

I'm now looking to buy another wireless router to replace my current
Netgear router.

My question is - should I go for a wireless only router, or should I buy an
ADSL modem router just to have as a backup incase the BSNL modem
stops working?

As of now, there's no problem whatsoever with my BSNL modem.

Which of the 4 options do you recommend?
a) Wireless-g router
b) Wireless-g modem router
c) Wireless-n router (in case I decide to get a wireless-n pc card later)
d) Wireless-n modem router

Also recommend a good model along with your option. (preferably a non-Netgear model)

Thanks.

You can go for a ADSL Router with Wi-Fi if you dont mind spending few money because it will help you in emergency's as a backup.

I also go with ADSL router with Wi-fi because of that feature deepmohan mentioned. The back up part for emergency is really helpful you know.

@deepmohan and savvyeyty

Yes, that's exactly what I was also thinking.

My modem's working fine at the moment, but you never know.
If I buy a modem router I won't have to go and hunt for another
modem if the current one stops working tomorrow.

So can you suggest a couple good modem routers?
(non-Netgear models preferred)

Thanks.
