i am happy to help and not irritated at all. the only thing i want you to understand that for server side issues we cant do anything. your SNR and Atten. values are simply good. so i guess its port problem

as you mentioned BSNL said all is OK at their end it confirms that line is clear.
i suggest you to talk to Sr.Officer personally and tell him that you get only 50Kbps and also tell him the SNR values. so that he can instruct tech team to look for port issues.

i think if they allot you new port , you will also get good speeds.

BSNL hai...kuch bhi ho sakta hai

now frankly speaking, this really irritates. because the link give by him has step by step process.

i think after seeing above steps you did not even bothered to read.

what you did not understand man ? atleast read it once. its clearly mentioned step by step that even my dad who has zero knowledge of computer can do.

sorry i am little bit harsh , but thats really simple procedure in link.

    download speed is.....1.69mbps (*1.69Mbps)
    upload is 425kbps
You should be careful in reporting speed.
    Mbps MB Kbps KB etc.
it is 1.69 Mbps divided by 8 gives you
    approx 210 KB/second.
a 5 MB file wll be downloaded in approx
    25 seconds to 30 seconds (*
    CONDITIONS APPLY !

yOUR BB download speed appears satsfactory
Mine just now . Dataone 2 Mbps speed
    Attachment 6533

    PARA TWO:
Open all menu pages and find a page containing
data about MOD mode selected say GDMT/ADSL2 + SNR margin d/l u/l ATTN d/l u/l etc.
Modem to modem the menu item can be different.

there is no point of telling lies in this forum

i just want to solve my problem
    rather than dumping lies here

in that case use some logic yaar. next step is "Click on reset and restart."

now why not just look in your modem and find this reset/restart option ??

its ok man..we are here to help each other. but you need to talk to Sr.BSNL officer and tell him this 80 Kbps thing. they can surely give new port to you. in fact few users even got new ports and got expected speed in this forum.

OK I worked in VJ for 9years or so in BSNL.
where do you stay and how far is the exchange from your home?
whether the service wire to your home has more joints?
whether you have any telephones on the line before the splitter on the line side? if so please shift them after the splitter so that the M splitter is straight connected to the line coming from BSNL. if line is noisy as you hear from phone?
the SNR values and the speed appear OK but i see some errors on line info page .
can you manage to to get a speed test report from the dataone.in page and indicate the results here.

Ideally, it would be better of contacting them and asking for the detailed explainationa and you can then proceed further as it depends on area

The factor that govern are :--
how far away you are from the exchange? are there any joints etc on your phone service wire? is your phone Noisy now and then? do you have phone instruments before splitter? what is the programmed speed for download by BSNL that you could see on the statistics page at ADSL section.

yeah, that could be true but still even though you are far away from exchange it should not be any real problem, but others things are sure to have impact

    Harry.
It is 180KBps not Kbps i fear and it accounts to 1440Kbps(180*8).
    "B" for 8 bits and "b" for 1 bit.
