    @Archer
    You're great.thanks a lot. it's now working. I'm relieved now.
Can anyone tell me if this things are similarly applicable in Windows 7 Ultimate also. I knew there is an issue with hibernation to wakeup in Windows 7. If someone is using Windows 7 with auto-connection enabled, please feedback your experience.
by the way, can anybody can tell me the application through which I can take snapshot of my usage at BSNL portal? thanks.

    INFORMATION

Yes. with some "BUGS" as usual.
Overall, Even if download is done say 1245 to 0450 AM ,meter may
split the reading at about 0200AM
and show NU Free as 0
Same way if you try a
D/L at 0755 and stretch it to say 0900 meter splits the usage at about 0800 AM
( Bonus free download 0755-0825 AM
    not possible).
Of course still reports are given, that
    metering is erratic.
Any way better or worse, than before !
Around Jan 4th , usage data was shown randomly for jan 10th 22nd 31st Jan etc.
    Now that has been corrected.
Dataone Usage Portal seems to be
    almost perfect. ( Old 59.xx.xx.xx )
    Very few complaints.
DataFox works fine now for both 59.xx and 117.xx users.
Hyderabad Users cannot check in data.bsnl.in now. They have to register atr Selfcare.
( users 59.xx.xx.xx seem to be exempted )
That is the update for you.

But BSNL peoples are yet to confirm it They said to connect net after 2 am to enjoy night free usage. Though I'm getting several disconnection just after 2 am. I think they want to standardize it before confirm it in publicly.

automated scheduler as described by essbebe/archer here is totally applicable to Windows 7 also. It's worked for me in Win 7 also. there is no problem with hibernation bug in Win 7.
    I'm in bridge mode.

first make .cmd files for connect, disconnect & hibernate ( details are first part of this thread).use task scheduler for hibernate first at say, 11 pm then schedule a task to open say utorrent at 2.15 am. use edit in advanced tab and check use this program to wake up from sleep.schedule connect bsnl 2.15 am with .cmd file. schedule disconnect at 7.45 am.
otherwise use auto power on and shutdown. use .cmd file at your time. first hibernate at 11 pm, power on at 2.10 pm, connect BSNL at 2.15 pm. disconnect 7.45 am.that's it.

another thing is that in Windows 7 you've to manually activate telnet client. you could found it in control panel.
    try this: http://www.fettesps.com/windows-7-enable-telnet/
after activation of telnet client rasdial will work.

i recommend to time it in such a way that it will run all day that is from 8 am to 2 am (because if the utorrent accedintely gets started during day time then the bills will be a truck load)

make a bat file of the above
    that is

    @echo off
    TASKKILL/F /IM uTorrent.exe

and start it using windows scheduled task , time it to start it at 8:00am then double click it and under schedule tab click advanced and use repeat task option ( every 5 or 10 min) till 2:00am

this will surely save u from heafty bills

I rather recommend to use much easier way:
match your PC's clock with this link
    greenwichmeantime dot com
Use BIOS settings to turn on the PC at desired time say at 01:55 AM
    Use modem in bridge mode
Use free download manager for rest of the tasks
Use free download manager scheduler for connecting internet at 02:05 AM
Use free download manager scheduler for downloading torrents (yes it can
be used as torrent client )
Use free download manager scheduler for disconnecting internet at 07:55 AM
Use free download manager scheduler for PC shut down

Thats it , easy isn't it

I am using these settings on windows 7

Use BIOS settings to turn on the PC at desired time say at 01:55 AM
    (* if GMT 0825PM???)
    Use modem in bridge mode
Please clarify how the modem is switched off at about 0155 AM IST and again switched On at 0205 AM IST.
This is the most important part of any
    application/program for automation.

Starting Computer ( hibernate standby etc / FDM/ scheduled tasks next part.

Changing BIOS settings/timezone not recommended for newbies.
Confirm BIOS time in GMT and Computer time in IST shown in TaskBar ?

See this application also for simplifying the whole process. ( test in day time )

why do we need to turn off and turn on the modem. I am talking about bridge mode in which Internet connection will be established when the dialer of computer connects to the internet at 02:05 AM.
I forgot to mention to set your pc's clock exactly in line with Indian standard time at this site (greenwichmeantime dot com home > time zone > asia > india > time) so that download do not start befor 2 AM
There are many videos on youtube to learn how to change BIOS settings it is not that difficult.

Actually i am already using these settings myself and have not found any problem so far

Actually there isn't any need to tweak any of the the bios settings if you are on bridge mode.........
You will need just a system with XP or later and two batch files.....
Please see the first post where everything is explained in detail.....
