Thread: router doesnt connect to internet but modem does

I am using BSNL broadband and use it with the router and it doesnt connect to the internet where as my BSNL dial up which uses my modem connects. Is there any firewall that is blocking my router or is http port that is blocked on the router. How do i get it to work?

Sandra, I think your answer lies in your question itself. If you able to connect using you modem then it shows BSNL is not at fault. Yes, indeed its router and possible a hardware or a software firewall blocking the traffic. Do let us know about your router configuration and we all will try to help you out of it.
