    Default Auto activating broadband connection

For BSNL broadband users who use the home500c plan and want the night unlimited service, its important to turn the connection on, but not really possible for all as its during the night and sleeping time.

Is it possible to start a PC at a specific time using the BIOS feature? Instead of dialing whenever wanting to connect.

Is it also possible to auto dial a connection, for example when the PC starts the BSNL net connections get connected.

Using the batch file method is better than using BIOS. And even if you use BIOS alarm, you will still need to use batch script to connect and run the application. Also you will have to use a software to shutdown/hibernate the system before 8 AM.

    In an A8V-VM mother board,

Power-> APM Configuration-> Power on by RTC Alarm [Enable] and set the time.

I wonder if any timer switch is available in India. It will be useful to turn on and of computer and router. Have you seen this type of programmable wall switch?
