Thread: Configuring Huawei Smart AX MT800 Modem for BSNL broadband

Hi,
I have a broadband connection with BSNL. It was working fine...My friend pressed the reset button in my modem(Huawei Smart AX MT800) by mistake...Now the ADSL link is working but the link is not working...ip address is also not being assigned...
I did the following steps
1) Assigned a static ip so that i can connect to the modem
ip - 192.168.1.2
netmask - 255.255.255.0
gateway - 192.168.1.1

In the browser, i went to 192.168.1.1, logged in with user id 'admin' and password 'admin' and am now able to view the modem settings page.

How do i configure it for the default settings? what settings/info do i need to add in the setting page...In the settings page, there are 8 PVC's all of them show green status...do i need to change PVC settings...do i need to add dhcp server/relay..do i need to add dns...i just need to restore it to the usual configuration for connecting to broadband i am confused...Please help...

Huawei SmartAX MT800A

1. Connect to 192.168.1.1
2. Key in:
* Username: admin
* Password: admin
3. Click on the ATM setting at left side menu
4. Please make sure that VCI-35, VPI-0,
Encapsulation-LLC, Connection Type-PPP
5. After you choose PPP, it will prompt different table

where u need to choose PPPoA/PPPoE – PPPoE,

IP Unnumber-Disable, Default Route-Enable,
Username: username ( without @bsnl.in,

Password: your password. Then click Submit
6. Click DHCP Mode and choose DHCP Server
7. Click IP Filter and select Security Level to None and then Submit
8. Click Save and Reboot, Save→ Submit, Reboot→ Submit
Para two:
Select Only VPI/VCI 0_35 edit
If you need a Dialer Mode select "Bridged"
DNS: enter 208.67.220 220 and 208.67.222.222
