    Default why net connection is disconnected when the receiver is taken from the hook

    hi friends !

    i use BSNL broadband.. purchased type II modem...

    net speed 256 kbps...

    i use the same line for voice calls also...

    When i'm browsing net, if i receive any voice calls (phone receiver) , the net is disconnected...

    Why this happens,?? {{Some said that using type II modem, we can browse net and make voice calls simultaneously..}}


    Modem model :nokia siemens networks residential router 1600
    splitter - 16 khz
