Arrow Problem with WiFi on Nokia Siemens Router 1600

Hi, recently I purchased a new type-II model from BSNL and I got a Nokia Siemens Router 1600. I have a PC (wired) and a laptop (wireless) connected to it. I am having problem with the wifi connection. Sometimes I am unable to establish a wireless connection, sometimes wireless connection stops working all of sudden, sometimes not even the router is detected and yet sometimes everything work flawlessly...
What could be the cause of problem? What detail do you need to help me diagnose this issue?

    Regards,

    Yogesh

    1.Check channel selected 6 or 11
    use opendns 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222
Any other wifi network appears in the list ?
2.Recheck router settings from any web site listed in this link. ( same menu pages)
Add to Bookmarks if found useful.

Sorry for replying so late; you can find the screenshots at: yfrog.com/j553092769px

Now I've more fine-tuned explanation of the problem: -
Whenever I try to connect via wifi, the laptop wont detect the modem till I access modem from the PC and change any of its setting + save/reboot. Afterwards I am able to connect even if the laptop is restarted.

till I access modem from the PC..........
If you are on "Dialer" mode change to "Always On" PPPoE
mode and enter USERID PW in wan page of modem etc.
    2.
Keep Modem on/Desktop off. WIFI will work.
Test with Lan cable to ethernet port of laptop.
    3. Post this data ( No edit )
    Start RUN type cmd OK
    New window
    Type ipconfig /all
for both desk top and laptop .

You may have to wait for a LINUX user to advise you.

Trying to interpret your "LINUX" data ( Illiterate in LINUX OS)

Default You have to live with the problem

I have three laptop and two are dual boot. All with WinXP+ one with Suse another with Fedora 11 (now 12).

The problem of intermittent wirless disconnect and some times wireless signal goes missing and at time you will not be able to authenticate, are common to all my three laptops and three OSes. When I reboot the modem (not just once), 1 to 3 times I get things working. No change in any configurtion or anything.

In very recent past it took me one and half months running to BSNL office to get my old modem changed once. I am living with problem now. I do not dare to talk to those royal people.

    regards

( Sorry giving name here will invite more problem )

You can try a LAN mode ethernet port
connection for testing the set up..

    REF similar router.
