    Default Wirelees connection

    Hi,

I have BSNL Connection and WA1003A wireless router. I have 2 laptops and one desktop. I would like to connect to all the three system without entering any password. How can I do this.

Currently, I am connecting to BSNL using my Desktop and I am connecting my laptops throuhg this connection by enabling "Allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection". But for this I need to keep my desktop on as long as I want to use the internet connection.

I heard that we can configure the router such that we can directly browse the web pages without connecting. Can you please help me how do do this.

    Thanks for the Help,
    Ravi

WA1003A router needs to be in automatic connection
mode . i.e. it should be configured in PPPoE mode .
see this Link for the configuration details : menu Link
And ignore this post if you knew it before .

Hi Ravi, Frankly speaking i'm not understanding what your looking for. You have connected the wireless router to desktop and allowing your laptops to connect using " Allow other network users to ocnnect" is the right way of doing it. What exactly do you mean when you say " we can configure the router such that we can directly browse the web pages without connecting.". Please elaborate on this.

he meant is there a way he can input his ISP username and password in the router itself instead of authenticating from each laptop.. the solution provided above is valid and perfect one..

    Hi All,

My father has a BSNL Dataone internet connection and has a BSNL supplied standard modem (UTStarCom). I sent him a Netcomm NB9W ADSL wireless modem, so he can connect laptop through wireless connection. Could anyone please guide me how to connect the modem to the BSNL modem?

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.

    Best Kumar.
