    Default New plan, old speed?

    ok guys.....here is story.
i requested BSNL CO to shift my current home 250 to combo 299 in last week on OCT. he said on 1st of nov that coz of some Technical problem (the term used by BSNL to aviod arguments with customer) it will take 2 more days to plan change. finally i called him on 5th nov & he confirmed me plan changed. i logged into the accnt usage check portal & under user info tab seen current plan as 299.

now my point of concern is till time i am getting speed over 1.2 Mpbs. the actual speed of 299 is 256Kbps. y speed is still same as old. both of the plans have up/down limit of 1GB. only 299 has 300 free calls. i don't wanna pay 300Rs more in case the plan is not yet changed.

Your plan might not have changed.

Go to data.bsnl.in, my orders, enter the phone no in the prescribed format and hit search. You will see your plan details. Check whether it shows provisoned. Also check the effective date.

    For reference :
    usage check now for 117.xx.xx.xx
    with Id xxxxxxxxxxx@ bsnl.in
    is BSNL Portal
Usage portal Id will be say log12345052009 P/W password
( get it from your Telephone Exchange J.T.O or CC )

If your Id is xxxxxxxx @ dataone.in IP 59.xx.xx.xx
    many sites available.
    try 10.240.144.195

Para two: When you were using Home 250 tariif plan,
how many free calls you got ?What was the telephone Tariff?
    "ONE INDIA PLAN" ?
I think none gets a Telephone without a Fixed monthly rental.
    except in above plans.

Since your IP starts with 59, you cannot access data.bsnl.in. Please try any of the site mentioned in this link

How to Check BSNL Broadband Usage Details

Anyone of the sites will have details of your current plan. Check for the word provisioned.

guys checking the usage is no matter for me.
what my point is that whenever ppl arnd here talk abt BSNL Portal, i try to login into this portal using my BB ID & pass. i just can;t get into that portal. i am using BB from last 4 years (same plan, same line). so as dilip said, i may not have that facility of BSNL Portal.

I think data.bsnl.in is for NIB II users whose ID starts with 117.xx.xx.xx. In the usage details link, there are sites which NIB I users can acess. Please browse through and check about your plan details.

    @essbebe
whts imp is that NIB II (ip: 117.x.x.x) ppl have very neat portal for usage check as well as plan details. which are not available so neatly for ip:59.x.x.x users. whcih i think is not appropriate. when i pay same as every budy else, i expect service similar to others.

if u notice, for me i can only see my plan is combo 299. but no where mentioned the date, time of change. even its not clear if its provisional or not.
