Thumbs down BSNL Internet Schemes are PATHETIC

I look at all the plans BSNL offers to its Customers, I dont see a plan which can have a satisfied customer. I have been using BSNL internet from last 3 years, i have used home basic, home 500, 500c and now I am stuck on home 750UL and i see other options too home 1350UL for a mere 512 Kbps i.e 64 KBps. All of these plan are no where near to have a happy and satified customer. If you use Home 500 series plans, the speed is good but its a pain in the ass, you have use time scheduling applications and what not, you have to plan things in advance then there is home 750 UL, no download limits but the download speed is tortoise pace. I happen to know people in USA, they have a combo plan where they have to pay $150 something which gives them cable connection, high speed internet and some other things as well. Internet speed is such that they can download 1GB worth of data in less then 10 mins and guess what they have unlimited download.

I cannot understand as to how BSNL management come up with free download plan in combo plans, 2 am to 8 am, what were they thinking when they planned this. I see on BSNL sites they are giving discounts on over usage. Sure BSNL is providing services to its customer, but it is not just a service alone, there are lot many pain in the ass things included as well.
    BOTTOM LINE: BSNL SUCKS

same is the case with other ISP's....only a difference of 100-200 Rs. so BSNL Alone never sucks....All ISP's Sucks

I'm using BSNL since year and I'm much happy with the speed. I'm having Home 500C+ plan and usually getting 170-180 kBps while downloading.

Most people in India haven't seen speeds abroad so they are content with whatever shitty service the ISPs provide.

Stuff like 10-15MBps unlimited is unheard of here. I'm sure the government has a huge part in making things so awful.

The best BSNL plans right now are Home500, Home1000 and Home1800.

Unlimited night time downloads @ 1.8-2.2Mbps, a somewhat reasonable daytime download limit of 2/5/10GB.

Yes it's pretty pathetic but BSNL still provides the best value for money at the moment.

Any other ISP is hideously expensive for any 1.5MBps+ plan.

The only snag is that if you are unlucky and your exchange sucks you won't get 2MBps with bsnl broadband (hence the "up to" clause).

But for all the Home plans, u need to pay for the land line rental, isn't it? Similar combo plans are better, becoz the line comes free and pay for only BB.

Guys this is not a comparison with any other ISP, i was just talking about the services they provide. 2-8 AM is the biggest bullshit, saving bandwidth in the daytime and giving it in the night. Other provider atleast have 11-7 free download time, that is understandable i.e. atleast you are giving some realistic free download time.
