Angry Most problematic BSNL

I think I have simply the worst experience with BSNL. I never got speeds above 110 kBps when downloading either from well seeded torrents or direct links. I got excess bills and also no bills for 3 months now. I experienced the torture of trying to explain my issues with the customer service.

I had frequent disconnections too earlier but they were not as frequent as they are now. From the past 4 days, I am unable to even chat using BSNL broadband. I called the customer service but all I got from BSNL was a few calls asking me whether the problem was solved or not but they never cared to solve the problem. This is simply too much for me and so I got another connection from local cable internet provider. I just happened to check the ADSL statistics and that explains the reason for the frequent disconnections. My SNR value is -2.2. Thats right, a MINUS 2.2. I wonder if anybody on this forum has faced more problems than me.

Buddy, You cant complain. Because its clearly mentioned speed is UPTO 2 mbps. so you can get speed anything between 256Kbps to 2Mbps. dont expect much. Avg people get around 1.5Mbps+

CC Sucks. Visit your exchange. In my area we have 198 as exchange number. if any issues i call on this number and book my complaint. Problem is solved the very next day
ask for such number in your excahnge.

and other ISP's are also same , so dont blame BSNL.

I booked a complaint through 198 also. There was no use. When I checked the next day using the complaint number, it said there was no complaint pending

since long i am seeing you complaining of different kinds of problems, unfortunately i think there is no solution for your problems.

Change your ISP.

I have attached the usage details for 6 hours from 2 am to 8 am on 13th November. I could download 400 MB. I was connected for only 4 hours 13 minutes even though I scheduled from 2 am to 8 am. This is one of the better days when compared to the days when I couldn't connect at all......

Long back @deepmohan advised you to change the ITI DNA211-I
modem/router.
1.Now go to statistics page adsl data.
Note the snr attn line rate speed and MOd mode selected.
2.
Save present settings to say C:/MY Documents / DNA settingsnov 14th
3.
TRY software update.

4.
check again as in 1.

5. Test speed here
Airtel
6.
IF No improvement exchange the modem/router at BSNL.

7. If not exchanged, send complaint to Allindia site.

this shld work...atleast in my area, it works like a charm and problem is solved the very next day...all employees are young and talented. they also call back twice to confirm if problem is solved or not.

still if it does not works, personally visit the exchange in writing.

The disconnection problem has been finally solved (for now). I guess there was a minor loose connection at the exchange. The guy they assigned to fix the problem assumed the problem was "phone dead" and so he thought there was no problem as long as I could answer the phone and reply. He had not even bothered to ask earlier whether everything was OK or not. He just used to call and say phone testing and do nothing as long as I replied to his call.

So today I went to the JTO office and told him my problem and the phone calls. He then instructed the repair guy to make sure I was satisfied before he kept the phone. The guy then fixed the problem and now its back to my normal upto 1 mbps speed but atleast there's no disconnnection.

I am very happy today because I finally got speed upto 2 mbps only because of one person - Mr. MVS Sarma. He is a retired BSNL officer but still he has helped me obtain the correct speed for my plan. I thank him with all my heart.

Today is my luckiest day with respect to BSNL

In fact it was Puchu who PMed me to try help some cases of Hyd.
then it was dancing around cable faults also. perhaps this could have been sorted even earlier
off late it struck to me that Adi420 has indicated that the statistics indicated limitation at 1024

the Other person from another local area had already shifted to evdo or something and disposed his Modem also.
