Default Which mode is BEST for Home 500 Plans

hi
i am finally shifting to Home 500C+ Plans. Just now tested all kinds of automation i will require with my current UL 750+ plan.

So question is simple..which is best way ? to be in Bridge Mode or to be in PPPoE mode for Night UL download ??

Reason i am asking this is because while going through previous thread, i found that those in PPPoE mode said that though they did not download say from 9 PM to 2 AM , usage of sometimes 70KB or sometimes 100 mb was charged , I think its data exchange between router and server to keep connection alive...but 100 mb ??????

Please mention your experience here

I think tha bridge mode is safest, because without dialing there is no usage made......
I've using it past 2 months & never faced a problem.....
Another reason for using bridge mode is my modem doesn't restart by that method mentioned in some articles.....

You have little choice. It all depends on the automater you select. Batch files and all will keep you in bridge mode, but Imran's and similar will allow you to continue in PPPoE. I think PPPoE mode is more secure and allows you to connect more than one machine.

I kept my modem (UT300R2U) on for two days in pppoe mode and the usage is less than 3mb and my usage analysis showed that a break at 2.20 am and 8.20 am. No automation scripts for restarting modem
