Unhappy Nokia Siemens router not working

    I have a Nokia Siemens Residential Router 1600 & a D-Link DSL-502T.
My internet works fine on the D-Link router.

I bought the Nokia router separately (for wifi). BSNL Broadband is printed on the top of the router. I connected the router (replaced my cables with the ones that came with it). The internet does not work however, only 192.168.1.1 works.

I tried changing the DNS with telnet, it still did not work. I connected my old router (D-Link) with the new cables to check if there was a fault with the cable.
The internet worked fine with the D-Link router.

Does anyone know how to configure this router (Nokia Siemens) ?

    Thanks in advance

There is very much similarity between these two modems.A mere save/reboot button inside the modem config page sets the modem ready to go in PPPoE mode.you have to enter the id and password at appropriate place only.

I have access to this modem only through teamviewer, not physically. If needed I can post the the screenshots of the config page.

    Please see this link.
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...reference.html (UTSTAR WA3002-G4 quick reference)

Needed only the Device Info page for Hardware Board details.
Software menu pages changes/ additional options OK.
