    The new bsnl type 2 modem that is being supplies is the nokia siemens 1600, very less information about this modem is available in the internet, there is no option or advanced setting for port forwarding in ths modem, but there is a hidden link through which it can be accessed this is the link h t t p://192.168.1.1/scvrtsrv.cmd?action=view ,remove the spaces i personally used the software simple portforawarding to open the ports for utorrent, i would we glad if someone gives a telnet script which can reboot this modem , its a little different in this,
    the steps are
    telnet> o 192.168.1.1

    then u enter the login and password admin , admin
    then a list of 14 options appear, the 13th option is save and reboot, when u select the 13th option again it asks confirm or deny, press 1 to confirm and 2 to deny , ,, can anyone plz give the telnet script for this and tell me a way to automate it to reboot...

    see similar hardware board and menu pages. confrm please.
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...reference.html (UTSTAR WA3002-G4 quick reference)
    When you use Dialer mode Advanced Options will not be available
    as all ports are open. Only DMZ.
    192.168.1.1/main.html may also work. Please confirm.
    Try Imran's Broadband Utllity or search for TST10

    @admin please move to Bsnl forum

    how to move to the other forum , i ve tried the imran s broadband utility , the auto scripting tool present in it generates a script but it only disables the connectivity, it does not restart, tried tst10 too, does nt work , can u please recommend any other auto scripting tool, there s no reboot command in this modem , i have to choose option 13 to save and reboot, then enter 1 for yes and 2 for no , also im not using it in bridge mode so all ports are not open in this.

    do u want me to post the script that i am currently using in imran s utility ? and also the telnet screenshots ?

    After opening modem/router settings pages try
    1.Type 192.168.1.1/scvrtsrv.cmd?action=view======>> For Virtual server
    2..Type 192.168.1.1/scprttrg.cmd?action=view ====>> For Port triggering.

    How do you connect to internet ?

    1. PPPoE - You can connect to internet by switching ON the modem

    2. Bridge - You enter ID and password and then dial to connect to internet

    To change it,

    1. Type 192.168.1.1 in your browser

    2. ID and Password - admin

    Change it from there (internet connection)

    I use a different router. Please wait for others to respond.

    Open 192.168.1.1, then in the menu, you will find an option called internet connection, click it. Then select the one with 0 - 35, browse through the pages, you will be able to find an option to change from PPPoE to bridge mode.

    Both have its own benefits. If you have more than one system to connect, you got no choice but stick to PPPoE. Better continue with Bridge mode.

    If you are in Bridge mode, there is no need for port forwarding. All ports are open by default.
