    Default Port forwarding

i'm using bsnl 500 broadband plan. when i use utorrent i get download speed of about 15kbps and there is always a yellow triangle for any port. i've tried every suggestion in many websites to port fwd but nothing helps.
    1) my dsl router interface DOES NOT HAVE VIRTUAL SERVER OPTION.
    2) I'VE TRIED DMZ HOST OPTION (with comodo firewall on)
3changing the wan option to bridge mode ( internet stops working)
BUT ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING WORKS . I'M TOTALLY FED UP .
    someone please help me !!!!!!

brother never make tweaks to ur connection untill u know it had worked for other

my suggestion is to reset ur modem to the factory defaults and configure ur modem

and also in home 500 plan the speed is from 256kbps ""upto"" 2mbps

""upto"" in the sense u wont get the full speed unless the band width is free(no body is using)

they will give the 2mbps line to 8 member of 256
so if any members of 8 are not using the internet the remaing 7 will share his speed

like wise if all r using the bandwidth all will get 256only

suppose if all the 8 will keep downloading at 2.am to 8.am then every one will get only 256kbps

in utorrrent reset the settings or reinstall utorrent alteast to get around 25-30kBps

You are wrong. The DSLAM have 150Mbps to 200Mbps Link with Leased line.

    From FAQ No 31.
What is contention or a contention ratio?
To provide a cost effective service - all ADSL services are contended (shared). These contention ratios are applied in the backbone and international part of the network. A commonly applied contention rate is 50 : 1. All customers are guaranteed the plan rate up to the local exchange or the ADSL equipment to which they are connected. On the shared part of the network a 50:1 contention ratio would mean that a 2 Mbps connection would be shared by 49 others. In reality this is very unlikely to happen and the customer would find the connection much faster than dial-up modems. ADSL relies on individual users not making unreasonable traffic demands on the network to provide fast access speeds for all. If you are not getting the speed you expect, it can be due to the contention ratio but also to many other factors including the congestion at the remote site you are accessing.
