    Default NetTalk Clarification

    Hi,
I am getting one device called Nettalk from USA which works like IP telephone. The requirement says you should have router and Internet connection , boradband is required. I have broadband with Modem only. But the issue is I usually enter UID and Pwd. if I want to connect to Internet using Modem. Now do you think this device will work. ?
Does BSNL wireless Modem has in built router also.
    Please help ASAP.

    Thanks.

Configure your modem in PPPoE mode. ie, username and password is stored in the modem. BSNL wifi modems has inbuilt in router.

Default Nettalk Duo in India with BSNL

I sent the Nettalk DUO to Chandigarh a few weeks ago. BSNL is my ISP. BSNL router+Modem combo was not working with it.

Then I Installed the Router: IBall Baton IB-WRA150N (ADSL2+Router) N Series (This is a modem + Router combo) This came with 3 years warranty
Worked perfectly with Nettalk. No Problem.

If you want to install it in Chandigarh then Contact me.

    congrats. delete your phone number.
Say contact me via PM ( private message )
But the issue is I usually enter UID and Pwd
Means you keep the system( computer) On to connect.
Not needed if once set in "Always On " mode.

I have used BSNL supplied Huawei AxMt882 ( adsl modeM only)
Beetel 220BXI (Airtel) Now Beetel 110TCI ( with Bsnl) also Beetel 110BXI
( with Bsnl)ZXdsl 831 AII ) adsl modem) etc with VOIP service VONAGE unit and now OOMA unit.
ANY ADSL modem in PPPoE Always On mode ( userid and PW entered/stored in modem wan page ) will work for VOIP service.
    Enable DHCP. etc.

Check settings for BSNL Modem+router + wifi ? in my signature links.

If you have BSNL router in Ludhiana, Nettalk will not work with it
    Please clarify above.
    show connections please .
    BsnlPhone/ (CONNECT) Junction==ADSl splitter ==..Adsl Modem==>> rj45 to Nettalk
From Nettalk If port available ====>. to Desktop.

    to Nettalk.
    similar model for ref.

NOTE: You have to assign a Static IP address to Nettalk. If you assign Dynamic IP address it will not work. Call the company and they wil come to instal at your home may be 2300 INR + Installation charges. Ask the guy to assign Static IP. By default it will be dynamic IP address. CHaranjit 847.414.7033 USA

    Model No.: iB-WRA150N

I am using the above model of ADSL2+ Router, IBall Baton with the nettak in Chandigarh with BSNL Broadband. Remember you have to assign a static IP Address to make nettalk work with it.

    Good Luck

    @gursikh133

Please clarify WHY an adsl modem supplied by BSNL ( present query is for "CONNECT" ISP) will not work for Nettalk.
The Iball baton ( FW version minor changes ) you use
is similar to WA33002-g1 of BSNL and
many other models listed by me in sig link Beetel 450TCI.

    Please post screenshot as attachment:
Status Device Info for comparison. as in Post No 8.

    2.
Once the ADSl modem is set in PPPoE mode
(always On Userid/PW stored in WAN page of modem)
and DHCP is enabled, simple matter transferring the RJ45 cable to the VOIP unit. Computer need not be on for VOIP service.
    Presume Nettalk is also similar.

    3.
Please do not confuse member with STATIC IP/dynamic ip etc.
My OOMA VOIP device IP 172.27.35.1 Default )
    Vonage default 192.168.15.1.

    Baai Ji

I am not confusing you. I am helping you. I do not live in India. I do not have enough time to look for the connect ISP.

    No problem.
I am in India and will check up Connect ISP if needed.

Will wait for feedback from @gurpreet26

It would be nice if he can TEST the SETUP In Canada with the number you have provided.
Then easy to set up in INDIA.

    As forum contributer
Just checking whether Nettalk is similar to Vonage/OOMA.,
and the reason why BSNL or any other ADSL modem is not recommended.

Any way here is a list of routers recommended by the company .
    Old list.
List of Routers that work well/badly with the DUO/TK6000

    https://forum.nettalk.com/viewtopic....545b94098d7461
I switched over to OOMA (Earlier used VONAGE )

I am connecting NetTalk Duo directly to Airtel Beetel ADSL2+Wifi Router (Beetel 450TC1). For some reason NetTalk doesn't registers and the light stays orange. When I connect the NetTalk to a Linksys Wireless Router, and the Linksys Wireless Router connected to the ADSL2+Wifi Beetel, NetTalk works. The problem with the latter setup is that it really decreases the consistency of service down to average 30% and NetTalk sound quality goes down. Can someone tell me what can I do so that NetTalk works when directly connected to the Beetel ADSL. I am connected NetTalk to LAN2 on ADSL.

so I fixed it. Now I am able to directly connect my NetTalk to my Beetel ADSL Router. No additional router needed anymore. I made the following changes:

Change the Primary DNS (or DNS1) to 4.2.2.2
Change the Secondary DNS (or DNS2) to 4.2.2.1
