    Default Bridge Mode with Wifi

    hi
i dont know if its possible. read below question and tell me how do i do this.

I have a wireless router DNA A211-I and lappy with wifi in it.
Now, i am in PPPoE mode and connection is dialed by router.

What i need is , i should connect to router via wifi and then dial connection from windows. this way i can avoid wires and can also dial connection to internet as per my requirements.

Let me know how do i do this.

the other method i know for this is , 1. reset the modem. 2. plug wire from lappy to router. 3. create dialer in windows.
but i dont want to use wires. so let me know the method for same.

    Isn't this self-contradicting?
Or do you mean you have a separate modem and broadband router?

Then it is no different from dialing using a LAN cable. If you have the router in bridge mode, your laptop will still detect the wifi connection and connect; and then you can dial into internet as usual from the laptop.

Before connection, you might need to adjust the laptop's IPs depending on whether your internet connection provides a dynamic or static IP Address, though.

you missed my purpose. i am on BSNL and it gives me dynamic IP. when downloading from RS, after each download i need to restart router to get new IP which is PITA. hence i was asking for the method for which i have posted the question.

For Rapidshare download, try cryptload or jdownloader. I think they can serve the purpose.
