    Check all links are working.

You can use Imran's Broadband Helper Utility or Broadband Scheduler to reboot modem at desired times.

    OR

You can create a batch file and schedule it in your Windows Task Scheduler to reboot modem.

For Bridge mode you can either use Broadband Scheduler or can create a connect and disconnect batch file and schedule it in windows task scheduler

http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...-software.html (Easiest way to automate night 2-8 downloads....... without any software....)

    Code:
For those who don't know to create a batch file, here is how you do it.......

        * Open notepad, type the code into notepad.
        * Click File and click Save As; browse to where you want to save the file. For the file name, type "test.bat", choose "All files", otherwise it will save as a text file. Once all of this has been done click the Save button and exit notepad.

Go through the link provided in post no .7. You need to type the code in a notepad and save it as batch file. Then use windows scheduler to run it at desired time.

Connection name - The name given to the connection (Say BSNL)

User name and password - The one we user in dialler. It is not admin nor the portal ID. It is normally your surname and password.

It will switch ON the internet connection. You need another batch file to switch off the connection. Run it using Windows Task Scheduler.

We restart the modem to ensure that the start and end time fall between 2-8 slot.

Broadband Scheduler has option for both Bridging and PPPoE Modem Auto Dail Modes.

If in bridge mode it will dial a connection and will disconnect it at the desired time.

If in PPPoE mode, the modem needs to be rebooted at desired times that is 2.00 am and 8.00 am to avail the night unlimited.

If in bridge mode then there is no need to reboot your modem, you will have to connect(dial a connection) after 2.00 am and will have to disconnect same before 8.00 am to avail night unlimited.

hope its clear now, choice is yours which tool or method you use to dial a connection and to disconnect the same.

this is my doubt i seen imrans site
One day my brother started his modem at 10:30 PM an visited some web pages during next one hour or so, and after 02:15 AM he started some big downloads, then switched off the modem at 06:30 AM, but at the end of the month, can you guess what BSNL has done, yes you probably can expect such things from BSNL They have shown that you have downloaded 2200 MB of data from 10:30 PM - 06:30 Am, and because the time 10:30 Pm does not fall under free time so all the data is chargeable.

Make sure that start and end time falls in the 2 - 8 am slot. Reboot your modem a little after 2.00 am and a little before 8.00 am.

If you want to restrat your modem then configure it in PPPoE mode, if you are in Bridge mode then just switch ON your modem dont dial a connection and go to sleep, next you have to chose a method to dial a connection and disconnect the same at desired time.

Again saying if in bridge mode there is no need to reboot the modem you just have to dial a connection and disconnect the same between free time.
