How can i know if i am accessing net through -- a limited or unlimited plan ? without knowing the bsnl id/password
I access net using my wi-fi laptop through connection owned by cousin.
how can i know if he has Limited (or) night unlimited (or) 750+ unlimited plan ?
--without knowing his BSNL password ?
(1) Can i know the plan by the speed ?
(a) using a speed test I got it as "download 233 kbps & upload 146 kbps"
(b) using speedTest.net without any tourent (..with Chennai as server)
Download : 0.27 mb/s
Upload : 0.24 mb/s
Ping : 96 ms
***NOTE these test conducted with laptop wireless connection. I feel LAN connected PC will show more speed.
(c) the DSL Router home page shows: downstream 2045/ upstream 808 Kbps
--- does this thing shows the actual speed of LAN connected net.
(2) Can I also get an ID from BSNL to know the account usage/type of account, etc.. ?
--- my brother might already have an ID/ password (which he does not reveal)
(3) Can I know the type of account by any other way ?
--- i know the wi-fi router id/pass (...admin/admin, user/user)
~ my brother keeps warning me "don't use net for long time, don't download anything we have limited connection" (..I feel it's not true)
~ I am sure it's not night unlimited plan because he does not use the net b/w 2-8
