Thread: Speed Problem.

Friends,

I have DNA-A211-1 modem. Before one week I changed the Broad Band plan from 512kbps to 8MB plan. I feel I got the changed new plan from today. But when I check the speed I am getting only 2MB.

My questions are,

1. I need to change the Modem? Is any speed limit for the DNA A211 1 Modem?


2. When I check the 192.168.1.1. the below message showing..

Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps):512
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps):2048
LAN IP Address: 192.168.1.1
Default Gateway: 59.99.8.1
Primary DNS Server: 218.248.255.139
Secondary DNS Server: 218.248.255.212


I need to change any settings in modem?

confirm tariff plan changed.

2. Check speed at
Airtel
3.In modem/router ensure ADSL2+ is enabled.


Always save/backup WORKING settings of modem to say
C//My Documents/ modem settings

They change your plan but dont change your port speed. It's still shows 2048Kbps which means 2Mbps. Make sure that they change your Plan. Go to your service recordes and cheak it. If thay change your plan then go to your router GUI web page and only select the DSL Mode ADSL2 + and uncheak all others. I think you can fiend the seetings Advance Setup -- DSL

If the port speed still shows to you 2048Kbps but your Plan is change then contact with DE Internal or SDE to set your correct port speed.

I think your plan is change because you say you feel the deferent now in speed. In 512Kbps you get 60 to 64 KBps DL speed if the current speed is greater than it then your plan is change.
