Thread: problem in configuring C2110 typ1 with dlink 524 router

Hi everyone,

I am having Bsnl broadband connection with modem Siemens C2110 Type 1. It is working fine with my PC via lan & usb both. Now, I want to run internet on my lappy too, so i connected dlink 524 router with C2110 modem & tried alot to configure it but fed up doing that searchd alot in forums but still couldnt succeeded. My bsnl internet works on PPPoE.

Any1 please do guide me (step wise) how to configure my modem (C2110) as well as router(dlink 524) to make my internet going on laptop too..

Set your C2110 router to Bridge mode with 0/35 VPI and VCI
Connect C2110 Lan port to dlink 524 Wan port with RJ 45 cable ( Straight Through Cable )
Set your user ID and password at the PPPOE in dlink 524
Remember the router c2110 Lan ip address is 192.168.1.1
You should set the Lan IP address of dlink 524 to 192.168.0.1

Hi,
1) first connect the cable device directly to your pc via lan
2) login to modem (192.168.1.1) enable the DHCP in Modem
3) configure the modem in Bridge mode
4) boot your modem once it configured
5) connect your dlink router once its booted
6) through RJ 45 cable
7) The cable to be connected form Dlink to your PC (plz dont forget)
8) go to run --> cmd--> type :ipconfig/all
9) Check the Default gateway address (simlar to 192.168.1.2/0.1)
10) type the same address in URL (address bar)
11) Enter Username/password
12) configure the Dlink router in PPPOe modem
13) Make Sure VPI/VCI value should be 0/35
14)Save/apply
15)reboot the Router
16)Try connect laptop in Wireless
It works
