Default Frequent Disconnection inspite of Good SNR values

Hi...From yesterday morning my net disconnects almost very 10 minutes and takes at least 2-5 minutes to reconnect...I checked all the wires, joints etc..Everything seems okay...My SNR up/down value is 23/37 which I believe is good...It suddenly drops to zero when it disconnects...Any idea what the problem might be?

Check your splitter. Make sure it come first in your line.

I am using MT 841...My phone is connected after the splitter...I had a doubt about the splitter, so checked connecting directly and still it disconnects....I have been using my connection since 2005 and this looks like a new problem to me

Many time it happens that even if SNR is good , line drops in between.
its BSNL server side issue can be rectified quickly if you book a complaint on 198.

Went directly to Bsnl office and complained..They haven't corrected it yet...I also checked all the joints etc..All looks good...The telephone box is situated outside my house...so it was easy to check wire from there....I don't see any problem there.....Another thing I noticed was it does not happen during night after 11.....

Is it possible for the wire to fail? Should I replace the wire and check?

    Have attached info...

My problem has been solved. When I went to the Bsnl office it was of no use..But when I called up customer care 1500 , they gave me a complaint number and quickly rectified the problem. No disconnections now...Thanks to everybody who were trying to help

It looks like the customer care facilities has improved a lot...The last time I called them was about 3 years back and I had to wait and wait..So i was a bit lazy to call them....Now the call gets connected instantly, I tell them my problem and then I receive a complain number in 20 sec....

It would be be very nice if they can improve on my Ul 750 speed as well

    Sure...Here is my history

When disconnection happens usually the problem is with the line. So I had to first check the entire line( joints, splitter etc). They all seemed okay...Even my SNR values were very good...So I had to rule out the wire problem altogether..If any of your joints has turned black, cut and discard that part and join them again...

Next, I had a doubt if it was due to some virus which I had experienced once. So plugged out the lan cable from the computer and waited for it to to disconnect...The disconnection continued...So it was not the virus...

I then called up the customer care (1500) yesterday night and told them my problem ie it disconnected every 10 min..They gave me a complaint number without asking further details. Early morning some person called me and asked if my telephone line was okay..It told him there was nothing wrong with my line but my net was getting disconnected frequently...He said there might be some issues with their ports and will take care of it.. After around 20 minutes there was no more disconnection
